Chris Kauffman

Guidance Counselor/Social Services Coordinator

My name is Chris and I serve as the Guidance Counselor and Social Services Coordinator at Carolina School for Inquiry. This includes working with the children during the school day as well as oversight of the after school and summer camp programs. My work experience has also included work in a church setting as a Congregational Life Pastor and the Director of Elevate Basketball (a 501c(3) community outreach program). My education includes an M.A. in Pastoral Counseling and Spiritual Formation from Columbia International University and a B.A. in Psychology from Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, MA. I find great joy in working with kids of all ages and helping them discover who they are in relation to the people and the world around them. I love sports (particularly basketball) and spending time with my wife and two boys, ages 5 and 3.

Mr.Kauffman Welcome Letter

Parents and Families,

Welcome to the 201516 school year! My name is Chris Kauffman and I will be serving as the Guidance Counselor and Social Services Director at CSI. I am excited to get started and become integrated into the life of the school.

I have already had the privilege of meeting students at the end of the last school year, as well as throughout our camps this summer, and I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you through guidance classes! My hope is that I can be a helpful resource to both students and parents throughout the year.

I look forward to being able to work with students in individual, small group, and classroom settings. Through each of these avenues I hope to learn how I can help each student grow as a person. Every child is a unique individual with specific talents, needs, personality, and challenges. My goal is to foster personal growth in each one.

I am also looking forward to getting to know each parent/guardian and family unit. It is my hope that we can work together to learn from each other and continue to become the best influences we can be. CSI is a special community and I hope to foster this unique aspect to the school in the guidance department as well.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, comments, or concerns as we head into the school year. I can be reached through email (ckauffman@carolinaschoolforinquiry.org) or by calling the school at 8036911250.
